I had some assignment as a engineering student and so i sourced for some materials over the internet. i downloaded some PDF files and had to print them out since i didn't want to exhaust the little battery on my phone and so i walked into a business center so i could transfer the files to their computer and have it printed. I had an Infinix X601 (Infinix Note 3 Pro), so i plugged this into their desktop but could not see anything as the computer refused to view the files on my phone.
The owner complained to have had the same issue with a previous customer who'd wanted to print from his phone also and so i tried to fix the error with the computer.
I understood there were 2 possible reasons why the phone storage could not be accessed by the desktop and these reasons includes:
1. The Infinix Driver in the laptop or desktop is corrupt
2. The driver has never been installed before
Whatever be the cause, On this page today, you're going to learn how to fix this issue once and for all
Method 1: ENABLE USB DEBUGGING (ADB)
USB Debugging is another very efficient way for you to be able to gain access to the files on any android device from your Pc. When this USB debugging is disabled, users will only be able to interact with their device media storage, such as the SD Memory card.
Now quickly remove the USB Cable from the Phone and switch On The USB Debugging by following the steps below:
Enable Infinix Hot Note 2/3 USB Debugging
- Select Application > Settings
- In the upper-right corner of your screen, tap More
- Navigate to the bottom and select About
- Now, scroll down and tap Build number several times (I Think 4 Times or so) until you see a message that says
- “Developer mode has been enabled“
- Tap the Back button and you will see the Developer options menu under System, and select
- Developer options
- Check the USB debugging box under Developer options
- You have successfully enabled Infinix Hot USB debugging
That is how easy it can be, if you followed the tutorial correctly, you should be able to enable Infinix Note 3 USB debugging right now. I hope this was helpful.
After enabling USB Debugging try reconnecting to your Computer.
If FIX 1 doesn't work, try FIX 2 below
FIX 2: Remove Bad ADB Drivers Or Reinstall MTP
If your Android device is not recognized due to bad ADB drivers or missing MTP driver this should fix it.
Installing MTP USB Device driver
Press Windows Key + X on your system and select Device Manager from the menu.
Look for Android device, right click it and choose Update Driver Software.
Click On "Browse my computer for driver software".
The Next Thing to do is to click on "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" just as clearly shown in the picture below
Select MTP USB Device and click Next.
Wait for a few seconds to enable the laptop or desktop locate and if possible download the driver
Reconnect your Android device after the driver has been installed.
Your Android device should now be recognized.
Hope the process was not a tedious one for you?
