Iphone and Android: Which is better and why?

Every body wants to lay hand on the latest product running on android Os, Others are so crazy about Apple's iPhones but none of these users have ever taken the time to review these products, provide a score sheet in order to know which is really worth the cash. This post will help clear the air since some persons feel they are the reigning phone owners simply because they have the iPhone, while others feel on top of the world because they own one of Samsung's latest galaxy series products.

So, after reading this post, i hope you can still love your device the way you used to because you are going to see the areas where you device is weaker or stronger than the other one.

I will use 15 headings to judge these devices and so, i beg your indulgence and patience as i unfold these.

The iPhone's TouchID fingerprint sensor makes bypassing the annoying lock screen a breeze. Some Android phones have similar feature. Other Android phones have a "smart lock" tool that uses face recognition or location to bypass the lock screen, but it's a less secure option, so iPhone has the sticker for a start.

Placing Calls

Favorite contacts are laid out much better in Android, smartly laid out according to the people you call most frequently. But face time is the iPhone's killer feature, so Iphone has the sticker.

Take a Photo or Video

There are terrific Android cameras, and there are awful android cameras. The iPhone camera is consistently great. Yet managing photos is a much better - and cheaper- experience on android. Google photos gives you unlimited free storage. Apple's iCloud is a disaster.

Type

Apple has finally begun displaying lowercase letters on its Iphone keyboard when you're not using capital letters. But Android's stock keyboard is still better than apple's including swipe gestures and - most crucially-punctuation on the same screen as the letters, so therefore, Google's android takes the sticker once again.

Use Apps

Apple and Google both have fantastic app stores, but android is far superior at organizing apps, letting you put important stuff on the home screens and hides less useful apps in the app drawer. Also, Android's wigdets are much more useful than that of Apple's, judging by the blue sticker, you know who the winner is right?

Notifications

The iPhone active notifications let you respond from within the notification without opening the app - something Android lacks. However, Android lets you set which notifications are "priority", automatically sending them to the top of the list, minimizing less important messages. also, android notifications could easily be cleared with just a single swipe across the screen and with this, android takes the sticker as the winner.

Music/Podcasts

Android has an excellent music-playing app in Google play music, which offers impressive list of free, ad-supported music. Apple has apple music, which has no free option but integrates impressively well with your iTunes downloads and for this reason, Iphone takes the sticker as the winner.

Checking your Email

Google uses Gmail as its main mail app, no matter what email service you use, its pretty bare bones if  you don't use Gmail, But Android's 'material design' lets you browse folders or switch accounts from any screen with a quick swipe to the right. Unlike Android, Apple's mail app automatically recognizes your exchange settings, but it takes a lot more taps to navigate and get there and for this reason, Google has it for emails

Get Directions

Google Maps is the best mobile app ever designed. Its available on both the Iphone and android, but its only used natively on Android. That means Siri can't use Google Maps- only Apple's Improving but still inferior Maps App. Therefore, Android takes the blue sticker as the winner.

Contacts

Android contacts are much easier to navigate, and its large photos make it easier to find who you're looking for. The Iphone automatically connects with Facebook and other social networks to populate your contacts' photos. Most Android Phones require separate app to do that. This time, android has the blue sticker as the winner.

Search

When it comes to search, Google is bread and butter , but apple's spotlight searches more stuff than Google does: Email, podcasts, notes. reminders, calender events, texts and voice memos. Siri's proactive search is limited as it only surfaces contacts, apps, nearby by attraction and news. "Google Now" works more like a vulcan mind meld, eerily searching for flight reservations, sports scores, transit routes and news stories before you think of them, so iPhone has it again.

Set to Vibrate

In a meeting? Board meeting or in church on a Sunday? shhhhhhh!!! No NOISE PLEASE! Simply press on the switch on an iPhone. On android, you have to log into your phone, press the volume button and tap the bell to set it to Vibrate. Some android apps, however, lets you automatically set your phone to vibrate in certain situations- when you arrive at for for instance. iPhone achieves this in a smarter way since all it takes is just a press on a button which can be done while the phone is just in your pockets and for that, iPhone wins again.

Talk to Phone

Android's voice "assistant" types as you talk, and works offline. But SIRI has a fun personality and understands natural language a bit better than Android. I know this might sound like a bomb for android users but I phone made it to the wins again.
Send a Text

In texting, android's default messenger app is pretty and perfectly serviceable, But iMessage lets you send free texts and voice messages to other apple customers - even from your Mac. Google Hangouts lets you combine texts and Google hangouts messages in a single app, and send them from your computer if you have a google voice account. But it still feels like a work in progress and for this reason, I phone has the blue sticker as the winner for text category

Check the Time

When it comes to checking what time it is, Android and iPhone shows time when  you press the lock button. but many android phones do time keeping better. Motorola, Samsung and HTC have smart covers and sensors that automatically shows you the time when you pull the phone out of your pocket. Android also has a super-dim "daydream" clock that stays on when charging on your nightstand. so with these, the Blue sticker is placed on the android as the winner of time display category.

YOU CAN WATCH THESE IN A VIDEO WHEN YOU CLICK HERE

Now that is the poll and i can see there's been a lot of sticker sharing and accumulation by both devices, So lets count the votes and see who comes the winner of the contest.

From what i can see here, Iphone has 7 stickers while 8 goes for android and with this, Android emerges winner of the "Which Phone is Better"

To enjoy this contest, let your friends bring their android phones or iphone so you can compare and produce your own results
